In this project, it is decided that structures and landscaping will be designed considering the conservation of big green area which is rare in city center. Also it is determined that the motto of the design is 'touching the green '. The first significant decision of the project is conservation of green area and engaging of new structures with this green area. Inside whole green axis that is designed, kiosks, which are 3m X 6m sized, are added. These kiosks are designed flexible to be able to have different functions like newstand, cafe, souvenir shop, informatio office, closed exhibition area, etc.
The coexistence of units at the dimensions which are not open to the standarts and diversifications... In such cases, the units which are loaded with different functions either can not meet these functions or will lead to difficult problems spatially insolvable.
How can this situtation be avoided ?
When its function is considered, based on the dimentions of the unit (buffet, newsstand, cashpoint etc.) requiring minimum spatial need, the alternatives at the dimentions of this unit have been considered. The units which are diversified like 3X3, 3X6, 6X6, 3X9 m allow much more different functions now. (Foundation, taxi station, bike rental place, etc.)
The units have been considered not just as diversified dimensions, but also considered in manner that enables shaping in accordance with the functions of these unitssuch as the facade materials, the openings in facade, the dimensions of shutters, the location of them and the seasonal, architectural differences of the space they are placed.
The units which can vary on a large scale are just considered by themselves, in addition their positioning has been foreseen in a manner that the different units are in contact with each other.Better fulfilling ability of needs of the public space with the juxtaposition of different functions has been considered.
Now, these units have become the units which both allow to different functions and are in accord with each other and feed each other. These spaces which allow the enrichment of the public spheres are designed as the units which are always come across by people at any age anywhere and meet the needs of these people substantially.
