Once we look at Istanbul from a transportation perspective the TEM Highway would stand out by means of not only its importance within historical transportation progress but also its residential borders of the city on a map.

Junctions among TEM would lead to yet another road but junctions outside the TEM would yield to residential life of the city. TEM passes by the city without a direct interaction whereas the other highways pass through the city with varying degrees of interaction.

Taking these characteristics of TEM into consideration, we can conclude that it has vehicles in its center, not the people hence providing a solution (service) for the vehicles rather than people. Its strict character, as a detached highway, along with the heavy use makes it harder to bear any journey along it. At this stage we propose a rail link solution integrated along the TEM to enable TEM offer solutions to directly people by including people more among the platform , which will increase the load a bit but will make it a lot more useful and liveable by making lighter TEM’s character sweeping over urban fabric of İstanbul.

Taking the junctions of the already existing rail systems with TEM into account, we suggest that this new link should be placed between the M2 junction and M6 junction.

The most important difference between these types of stops and standardized stops is the transfer areas located in the junctions with other rail systems. These areas include public wc’s, ticket offices, and recreation areas.

Viaducts are where the rail link becomes the most simple.

Rail link operates on a single rail except for the stops, where it becomes dual. Rail lines consists of the gridal system which is shaped by the movement of the rail.

The suppurting feets and the connected beams carrying the entire system also being shaped by the same movement of the rail. The lightning system is also handled by the very same arms of the system.
